Izmia's Quests Notes - Introduction
Izmia was in her room, she had her journal on her desk and decided to have another read at it.
This book was her life work, her quest. Her Magnum Opus.
She opens it and began her read:
"Welcome ! This document will resume my life quest to elucidate the mystery of the legendary and mythical stones of several cultures and the divine foods. It will also study the link between the two and the relationship with the Grail Mythos.
We will explore different myths and try to find the deep and hidden connection between them.
We will travel both in space and time, studying Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Greek, Jewish, Hinduist, Buddhist, Christian and even the hidden steam of the Hermetism faith, especially Alchemy.
We will see the different mythical stones, going from the stone of renewal, the Ben-Ben stone, the stone that connects the realm of Mortals and Gods, the Omphalos, the seat of the Royal Authority, the Lia Fail, the stone of physical and spiritual transformation, dispenser of life, the Philosopher's Stone, and the crystallized form of the philosophy of Buddha, the Chintamani.
We'll also explore the myths surrounding the Mefkat, the fabulous Milk of Hathor, the Shem-an-na, the "spice of the divine man" of Mesopotamia, the Hindu Soma and the Jewish Sacred Manna.
We'll see how both things could be related and the intricate link with the ever-famous Grail mythos.
The path will be difficult, as we will have to keep in mind that the depictions of relics aren't all the same way and with the same powers, shapes and size.
During this journey, we will also encounter other relics such as the Ark of the Covenant and the Grail Stone, the Lapis Exilis.
We will also dwells in the deep roots of Alchemy, which seems to be the recipient of a tradition linking a mythical stone from heaven and a divine food providing immortality and other virtues to the one who consume it.
Yes, Alchemy will be the heart of my researches. Figuring out its origins and goals.
What's the true nature of the elusive Philosopher's Stone ?
What is is made of ?
Where the concept came from ?
This is all the questions this book will try to resolve.
And more.
Maybe I will discover secrets that the world is not ready for.
But all questions have answers. And those answers is what I'm searching for.
Not for my own personal glory. But for the glory of the planet. To understand the secrets of Nature, the World and the Universe.
To make Earth a better place.
To transmute it into a golden Paradise.
Not for the futile quest of unlimited wealth.
What use could be a huge pile of gold ?
To me, none.
So, bare with me and let's get started."
Izmia closed her journal. She put a bookmark where she stopped and will continue afterwards.
